We are able to asses all heads to CIC standard here at Woodmill, but those that appear to be in the gold category will remain here for official measuring so they may be recorded as shot in Scotland. Official measuring is done by a certified CIC assessor which takes place 90 days after the animal was shot - this allows sufficient time for thorough drying out of the trophy.
You will be told if your deer has achieved a gold, silver or bronze award.
Assessed trophies will be sent to the owner with the correct paperwork and the invoice.
It is of great interest to the deer management of Scotland that the details of the trophies are registered in Scotland before they are forwarded to you.
