trophy heads.
Consistent numbers of trophy heads each year
come from a combination of trace elements in the soil, low parasite
numbers and genetic potential.
Fife is a less heavily hunted area than much
of the UK, so trophy opportunities for the roe deer hunter remain
high.
This
handsome buck was shot mid-afternoon in late April in a field
of winter wheat. We had been watching it chase a young buck
off its territory, and stalked it for half an hour before it
turned directly to face us.
